Why we’re asking you to help
We all need help at some time in life. Austerity, COVID and now the cost-of-living crisis. We all know life can be unpredictable and uncertain. Parents under pressure are doing their best. But when parents are struggling to cope, children can miss out on the love, routine and support that helps them thrive and is vital for their future.
Chronic or prolonged family stress, financial difficulties or growing up in poverty can have serious immediate, short and long-term consequences for all family members, especially children. The impact on them can be life-long.
We don’t want any family to have to struggle alone: feeling overwhelmed and wondering how they’re going to cope, not knowing how they’re going to get through the week or who to turn to when they have a problem, worrying about how they’ll make ends meet, scared about spiraling into debt, losing their home or their job.
